Gareth Bale has scored some stunning goals during his illustrious football career.

The Welshman's most famous goal came in the 2018 Champions League final for Real Madrid vs Liverpool.

Bale scored a quite ridiculous overhead kick from roughly 15 yards out to give his side the lead in the second half.

It's unquestionably one of the best goals in the competition's history. It may well be the best ever.

Bale can also claim he scored one of the best disallowed goals in Champions League history.

On September 18, 2019, Real travelled to the Parc des Princes for a mouthwatering group stage clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

The French giants took an early two-goal lead courtesy of Angel Di Maria's double.

Real thought they had halved the deficit after a stunner from Bale.

Bale lobbed the ball over a defender, took a few more touches and then unleashed a brilliant volley from just inside of the box that looped over Keylor Navas and into the net.

What makes the goal even better was that Bale scored it with his weaker right-foot.

Bale turned around with his arms outstretched, celebrating what was a truly extraordinary goal.

However, he would have had his heart in his mouth when he saw that VAR was checking the goal.

And, his joy quickly turned to despair as his effort was ruled out for handball. It must be said, the right decision was made.

Imagine scoring a goal that good and then seeing it ruled out.

It's one of the best goals that never was, without doubt.
