Plymouth Argyle sit at the top of the League One table following a 3-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday evening.Goals from Brendan Galloway, Conor Grant and Ryan Broom sealed victory for Ryan Lowe's men, who are now one point ahead of second-place Sunderland.It was a pretty convincing performance by Plymouth and the third goal of the evening scored by Broom is one that football fans will never, ever forget.The playing conditions at Home Park were absolutely atrocious, with the pitch ending up waterlogged to the point where the game probably should have been abandoned before full-time.However, both sides continued proceedings and in stoppage-time, the adverse weather paved the way for the scrappiest goal we think we've ever seen scored in a professional football match.Bolton players attempted to pass the ball around near the touchline, but the standing water on the pitch saw the home side win possession back.
ENTER GIVEAWAYThe Plymouth interceptor Danny Mayor then charged upfield, took advantage of the wet conditions to beat the goalkeeper and looked certain to score.Mayor himself was then tackled by the standing water, which sparked chaotic scenes in and around the Bolton penalty area.Eventually, the ball was fired into the back of the net by Broom, bringing an end to a truly bonkers sequence of play.Words can only go so far in describing the crazy goal, so check out the footage of it from the stands that's going viral on social media.

Plymouth's description of the goal on their official Twitter account reads: "You will never see a goal like this again. The ball holds up and Danny runs clear. He then gets tackled by the standing water and Broom is there to finish off."
"Tackled by the standing water", a phrase no one ever thought they'd see associated with a football match.
A truly iconic goal, one we will be watching on repeat for the next couple of days.
