Newcastle United are the newest club to record interest in Huddersfield town striker Jordan Rhodes, according to The People.

The 21-year-old has scored 13 goals this season for The Terriers.

The former Ipswich man had been linked with a move to Manchester United, but now Newcastle are the latest side to register their interest.

Bolton Wanderers and FA Cup finalists Stoke City are also interested in Rhodes, but the size of United and Newcastle means the pair will be considered favourites.

Following the revelation of the interest from United and now from Newcaslte, Rhodes was called into the Scotland squad after talk he may consider England.
