Arsenal star backs title tilt

Wojciech Szczesny does not believe Arsenal are out of the race for the Barclays Premier League title.

After a dreadful start to the campaign, Arsene Wenger quickly wrote of the Gunners' chances of mounting a genuine assault on Manchester United's crown.

However, Arsenal have since won six of their last seven league games, and are now only three points outside the hallowed Champions League places.

This led Wenger to claim anything was possible come May, and Szczesny has now further talked up the title credentials of the north London.

In fact, the Polish custodian would even be willing to stake money on Arsenal basking in glory at the end of the campaign.

“I'd put a tenner on it!,” he told “I completely believe in this Club and if we win every single game like we have been recently then why not?

“Obviously the mood has turned around and so has the belief. We believe that we can win every single game and if we can do that we are confident.

“I think it's all about the spirit in the team now. There's obviously been a few good results and we've got our confidence back.

“I think we just need to keep going and show everyone that we can be consistent."
