WWE fans seriously thought, even if just for a brief moment, that Neville had beaten Seth Rollins to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Monday Night Raw in 2015.

The August 3 episode of Monday Night Raw in 2015 saw Neville challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in what had all the makings of a cracking TV match.

The match had one of the best endings of a TV bout in WWE history, with fans seriously thinking that Neville had beaten Rollins to become World Champion.

Neville hit his Red Arrow finisher off the top rope and hooked Rollins into a deep pin, with the referee counting to three. However, it was quickly apparent that Rollins had his foot on the rope.

The finish came shortly after that, with Rollins blasting Neville with a Pedigree to win the match and retain his title.

The false finish was so good that many people in the crowd, even if only for a brief moment, seriously thought that WWE had decided to have Neville win the WWE World Heavyweight title.

The moment is still spoken about by WWE fans as one of the best near falls or false finishes in professional wrestling history.

Neville is no longer with WWE, leaving the company in August 2018 after several months off TV. He has since gone on to join AEW, working for Tony Khan as PAC.

Rollins is still with WWE, working as a heel right now on the Monday Night Raw brand. He is set to face Edge tomorrow at WWE Crown Jewel in a Hell in a Cell match.

You can watch WWE Crown Jewel tomorrow (October 21) live in the US on Peacock and in all other international markets on the WWE Network.
