Arsenal and Tottenham are both reportedly pursuing Le Havre teenager Jeremy Balmy.

The 17-year-old is considered to be one of the finest young prospects currently operating in France and, local reports claim, he is being courted by numerous clubs.

According to The Mirror, Balmy will become available in the summer and, along with the Arsenal and Spurs, Valencia are also monitoring his situation with interest.

The versatile youngster is said to favour a move to England, which would appear to install Arsenal and Spurs as frontrunners for his signature.

Arsenal, though, are said to have the edge on Spurs due to Arsene Wenger's supreme contacts in French football.

However, it is feasible that Spurs will be able to offer Balmy Champions League football next season - something which could, potentially, be out of reach for the Gunners.

Meanwhile, Wenger and Harry Redknapp are also said to be keeping tabs on wantaway Blackburn forward Junior Hoilett.
