Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi will reject a move to Manchester City, insisting he is happy at the Serie A side.

The Argentine striker has been linked to Napoli's Champions League opponents for most of the summer.

City have made no secret of the fact they admire the 26-year-old, as well as his strike partner Edinson Cavani.

But Lavezzi's agent Alejandro Mazzoni Jnr said: "Napoli are a strong team and Ezequiel is very important to this club.

"They have not called me to discuss anything. He is only focused on Napoli and having a great season in Serie A and the Champions League. He is happy here and that's what matters."

Lavezzi is currently contracted to Napoli until 2015, and will take on City in the Champions League next week.

City are eager to cover for the expected loss of Carlos Tevez, and may look at Cavani.
