Journalist Luke Hatfield believes Wolves will want to keep Romain Saiss at the club beyond next summer.
Saiss is into his sixth season at Molineux, and Hatfield does not expect it be his last if Wolves get their way.
What is Saiss' contract situation?
The 43-cap international was set to be out of contract earlier this year, before he signed a new one-year deal in March to keep him at the club until 2022.
Given that Saiss only signed a short-term deal, Wolves could find themselves in a similar situation in the coming months, where they have to decide whether to extend his stay again, or allow him to leave for free at the end of the current campaign.
What has Hatfield said about Wolves' stance on Saiss' contract?
Saiss has started this season well, earning an average match rating of 6.96 from WhoScored, which sees him rank second among the Wolves squad.
He scored his first league goal of the season on Saturday, as Bruno Lage's men came from two goals down to pull off a remarkable 3-2 win away at Aston Villa.
Hatfield acknowledges that the 31-year-old has his flaws, but thinks that Wolves will be keen to keep hold of him moving forwards.
He told GIVEMESPORT: “If it’s a question of ‘do they want to keep him around?’, I’m sure they will do. Because not only is he a good player at this level, he’s maybe a little bit rash at times, he’s always good for a booking, but he can play in a couple of positions.
“He can play at centre-back, he can play in defensive midfield if he’s asked to. He’s a goal threat as well from set-pieces.”

Should Wolves hand Saiss another contract extension?
By the time his current deal runs out in 2022, Saiss will be 32, and he may be coming towards the end of his prime years.
However, he has shown no signs of slowing down just yet, so it would make sense for Wolves to hand him another extension.
He has arguably been the side's most consistent central defender this term, and Lage is hardly blessed with a high number of quality centre-backs right now.
Yerson Mosquera is sidelined with a long-term hamstring problem, Willy Boly has struggled for form in the last couple of seasons, and Max Kilman is still finding his feet at the highest level.
With this in mind, Wolves need to keep hold of their most experienced and reliable players, and Saiss is certainly one of those, meaning he deserves a new contract.
