Tottenham Hotspur's Steve Pienaar says he doesn't regret rejecting a move to Chelsea in the January transfer window.
The South Africa opted to move to White Hart Lane but has seen injury disrupt his first 12 months at the club.
However, despite the frustration of limited playing time, which saw him make his comeback in the Europa League against, he's adamant he hasn't made the wrong decision choosing Chelsea over Tottenham.
“I signed a four-and-a-half-year contract. If it's not working out this season I'll just have to wait until next season. That's part and parcel of football," he said.
“You just have to keep on going and don't give up. I don't regret turning down Chelsea at all.
"I turned Chelsea down for personal stuff.”
Tottenham have made an impressive start to the season, with victory over Arsenal coming in the midst of a run that has included just one defeat in 13 games.
Pienaar's return come as Spurs enter a crutch stage of the season as they look to lay the foundations for a Champions League push, as well as qualify for the knock-out stage of the Champions League.
