The Difference Between Far Cry 6 and GTA 5 Graphics Is Astonishing

A YouTuber has compared Far Cry 6 and GTA 5's graphics.

Far Cry 6 has only just arrived on the gaming scene but players across the world are already comparing its graphics to previously released titles.

Ubisoft launched their all-new chapter of their hugely successful first-person shooter which features famous Hollywood actor Giancarlo Esposito, who plays the evil dictator and antagonist Anton Castillo and also features in the Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian shows.

On the back of its release, gamers have taken it upon themselves to compare some of the graphics and physics to games that were launched almost 10 years ago.

One title, in particular, was Grand Theft Auto 5 – one of the best selling games of all time and one of the highest-rated titles on Metacritic at the time of writing.

So would Far Cry pass the test, or would it be put to shame by the old veteran from Rockstar?

Far Cry 6 vs GTA 5 Graphics

GameV is a YouTuber that is known for putting games side-by-side in a direct comparison with each other. Bear in mind, GTA 5 was initially launched back in 2013.

The following PC specifications were used for this experiment:

CPU: i7 9700K
RAM: HyperX Fury Black 16GB DDR4 3200MHz
GPU: GTX 1080 TI
SSD: ADATA Ultimate SU650 480GB

As you can see, it is quite extraordinary that a game of the calibre of GTA 5 can still hold its own to this day when it comes to gorgeous visuals and physics.

That’s not to say that what Ubisoft have produced is poor – far from it. The bright colours of its fictional island of Yanma are a joy to behold and it is a pleasure to waltz around this world.

However, it just goes to show why Rockstar Games, the developers of GTA 5, receive so much praise for their work. With a bit of help from a powerful PC, it is still one of the best-looking games you can buy to this day.

Both games are available to buy right now on PlayStation 5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
