Yohan Cabaye has revealed he is aware of Manchester United’s interest in his services, but the midfielder doesn’t want to get too carried away with transfer rumours as he continues to settle into English life.

Cabaye joined Newcastle last summer for €5 million, and has starred for the Toon during their surprisingly successful start to the season.

United in particular have reportedly shown interest in Cabaye, and the Frenchman says he is aware of the talk, but not paying attention to the rumours.

"I heard about United's interest in me, but things are only just beginning," Cabaye said.

"I have a bit of experience of clubs following me, so I would rather not get carried away by thinking too much about such things.

"I simply want to concentrate on my objectives with Newcastle - and playing for Newcastle."

United will no doubt continue to monitor Cabaye’s performances at St James’ Park as the season wears on.
