Arsenal have been dealt an injury blow with news winger Ryo Miyaichi is out for three weeks.

The Japanese starlet joined the Gunners in January, moving to Feyenoord on loan for the later stages of last season before coming back to the Emirates following the successful application of a work permit.

Whilst his appearances have so far been limited to the Carling Cup and reserve teams in north London, much is expected of the talented teenager, who is seen as a star of the future by both Arsene Wenger and the whole of Asia.

"Ryo has sprained his left ankle and will be out for a minimum of three weeks," Neil Banfield told the official Arsenal website.

Elsewhere at Arsenal, midfielder Alex Song has sung the praises of Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta as the trio form a formidable group in the centre of the pitch.

After a tough start to the campaign, a growing familiarity has made the three players integral to Arsene Wenger's side in the absence of Jack Wilshere, and Song is confident the future is bright this season.

"Our knowledge of one another is improving every day. It hasn’t been easy because Mikel only signed for us recently, but you can see what a good player he is and I’m really happy to be playing with him," said the Cameroonian international.

"Aaron’s doing well too, and we’re all still coming together and learning what works best. We’re all trying to help each other and that’s important. The more we communicate, the better we’ll get – if we’re constantly giving each other advice on the pitch then we can become a very good unit.

"Also we’ve still got Jack and Abou to come back, which gives us a lot to look forward to in the midfield."
