Bianca Belair has been named the world's number one women's wrestler in this year's Pro Wrestling Illustrated's 'Women's 150'.

The list takes into account wrestlers across every company based on their performances throughout the whole year.

The EST of WWE tops the list, followed by Utami Hayashishita of World Wonder Ring Stardom in second place, Impact Wrestling's Deonna Purrazzo taking third, and Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa of All Elite Wrestling filling the fourth and fifth spots.

PWI ranks its list based on specific criteria, including influence, technical ability, and in-ring achievements.

Belair is undoubtedly one of the most athletic wrestlers in WWE. Her background as a track and field competitor shows in her performances – she is quick, agile, and executes her moves with precision.

Her incredible athleticism birthed her nickname 'The EST of WWE'. She explained the meaning behind it in an interview, branding herself as a "hybrid athlete".

"So, I’m the strongEST, I'm the fastEST, the quickEST, the roughEST, the greatEST, the smartEST, I’m the bEST."

Indeed, not many opponents have been able to overcome Belair this year. After she won the SmackDown Women's Championship title back in February, she held the champion status for more than 100 days, before the return of Becky Lynch saw the title change hands at SummerSlam.

Her loss to The Man was her first singles defeat since December 2020.

Since then, she has revisited matches with Lynch, ongoing rival Sasha Banks and, since being drafted onto Raw, faced red brand champion Charlotte Flair in a title bout.

Earlier this year, Belair and Banks received the Best WWE Moment award at the ESPYS after becoming the first Black women to headline WrestleMania.
