The developers of Gran Turismo 7 have been showcasing content that illustrates exactly what has been going on behind the scenes.
Polyphony Digital have been slowly releasing more footage of their upcoming virtual driving sim, which some would say helped put the original PlayStation on the map back in the late 1990s.
They had kept their cards close to their chest up to now but have now begun to reveal more screenshots and footage as their 2022 release date edges closer.
At the time of writing, the original Gran Turismo is one of the highest-rated games ever to be critiqued by Metacritic, with the titles coming after not quite living up to it.
However, huge expectations have been set for Gran Turismo 7 which is set to be launched on next-gen console PlayStation 5 as a direct release for the first time.
Gran Turismo 7 Behind The Scenes
Polyphony revealed new details about the game with an intriguing look behind the scenes where an explanation was provided regarding what can be expected in the seventh mainline edition.
CEO Kazunori Yamauchi spoke passionately in the footage, via YouTube, about just how passionate he is about cars and driving, as well as how immersive Gran Turismo 7 is.
"The breadth of automotive culture is very broad," he said, "I think the car is one of the most beautiful industrial products. The appreciation for the beauty of their shapes, is what car culture is.
"But the car is also made to be driven by a person, control these high-performance machines that far exceed human limits - is another part of car culture.
"There are also many unique cars being made around the world. Appreciate these cars, collecting them for example, is a crucial part of car culture.
Yamauchi continued: “Gran Turismo 7 is a comprehensive title and there are many different ways to play, whether you drive fast, collect cars, design liveries in the editor, or take photos, all of these are elements of your ‘life with cars’.
