Manchester United and Chelsea target Miguel Perez Cuesta is loving life at Rayo Vallecano.
The 25-year-old midfielder moved to the Campo de fútbol de Vallecas from celta Vigo this summer, and has made a sensational start to the campaign with five goals in 11 La Liga appearances.
Affectionately known as 'Michu', the Spaniard has been watched by a number of English clubs this season, most notably Chelsea and Manchester United, but the former Oviedo starlet appears happy at his new home.
"I feel very positive, I am delighted. I've played almost all of the minutes, I have five goals and the team is eighth with 15 points," he said.
"I cannot complain about anything, I love the city, the fans and this is a dream that I am living."
The news will be a blow to Andre Villas-Boas, with the Chelsea boss targeting the player to bolster the ranks in west London.
AVB has instigated a change in focus at Stamford Bridge since his arrival from Porto, stamping his own mark on the Chelsea side with youthful additions in the summer. Juan Mata, Oriol Romeu and Romelu Lukaku were all added to the ranks.
Spanish publication AS reports that Rayo will face stiff competition if they wish to hold on to some of their talented stars, most notably Michu, and Chelsea are expected to be one of the clubs pursuing his signature in January.
Manchester United are also in the queue for the player after their representatives made a personal check in Madrid.
Following Paul Scholes' retirement at Old Trafford in the summer, the Red Devils were linked with a handful of attacking midfielders, and whilst the emergence of Tom Cleverley helped cover the loss of the Manchester United legend, Sir Alex Ferguson is still thought to be in the market for a player in the position.
Wesley Sneijder and Mario Gotze have also been linked with moves, and Michu is the latest name to appear in the frame over a possible move to the Barclays Premier League champions.
However, the players recent comments mean that Manchester United are one of the clubs likely to miss out.
