Mason Mount was back to his best as Chelsea dismantled Norwich in their Premier League clash on Saturday afternoon.

The English midfielder had been on a barren spell in front of goal going into the game.

He hadn't hit the back of the net in his previous 25 games prior to the match against Norwich.

But he broke his goalless streak in style as Chelsea ran out 7-0 winners at Stamford Bridge.

Mount scored Chelsea's first goal of the game in the eighth minute.

The 22-year-old was teed up outside of the box by Jorginho and his fierce effort clipped the post and hit the back of the net.

"I don't think I've ever scored more than one goal in a game for Chelsea so it's obviously a massive moment for me to get three and I'll remember this one for a long time.

"I've been waiting a long time. I was always getting in the positions to score but I just wasn't putting it in the back of the net. I thought there was going to be a game where it came off and today was the day.

"The last one I thought might have been offside, I was praying. But it's not just about me. It's about the team."

Chelsea remain top of the Premier League having picked up 22 points from their opening nine games.

They will take some stopping this campaign.
