According to The Times, the Englishman, alongside his wife Victoria, have a combined net worth of £380m.

And they're set to get even richer.

That's because, according to the Sun, David has agreed to become the face of the Qatar World Cup.

Beckham has signed a £15million-per-year over the next decade to become the country’s ambassador.

That means he will earn a staggering £150m over that time frame.

It is expected that he will be unveiled as the face of the World Cup next month.

The deal could be regarded as controversial given concerns over Qatar's human rights record.

The Manchester United legend was assured fans would be safe and allowed to display rainbow flags in stadiums. He consulted with his wife before penning the deal.

A source told the Sun: “David believes in Qatar’s commitment to progress and that the World Cup - the first to be held in the Arab world - can effect significant positive change.

“He strongly believes in the power of football to bridge differences but, crucially, has seen the progress on issues that matter.”
