Evan Holyfield, son of boxing legend Evander Holyfield, won his eighth professional fight by knocking out Charles Stanford yesterday. The 24-year-old landed a left hook before dropping him with his right to go 8-0 in his career so far.Holyfield was on the sidelines watching his son maintain his perfect record in his birth place Atlanta. The Real Deal, who is the one of only three fighters to be a world champion in two weight classes, made a return to the ring last month but was easily defeated by former UFC star Vitor Belfort via technical knockout.Holyfield's son has so far done well in his career, winning all of his eight fights with six of those coming via knockout. The victory over Stanford was the light middleweight's third of 2021, having previously beaten Mexican Agustin Cicero and Nicolas Compton in July and April respectively.p1fip2ecq8spe69e13n7l4m1rq1b.jpgYung Holy has followed his father's footsteps, entering boxing (albeit in a different category) and has had a good run so far.Of course, he hasn't faced the toughest of fighters but we can all expect him to be up to the challenge in the upcoming years.Holyfield has a penchant for knocking out opponents and that could come in very handy once he faces tougher fighters.

Having fought thrice already this year, it's fair to assume that the bout against Stanford was the 24-year-old's last of 2021.

It will be interesting to see who will be his next opponent and we might find that out in the upcoming months.

While we can't just expect Holyfield to reach the same heights his father did, he still has a lot of years ahead and provided hard work and discipline is maintained, he could become a fighter to be wary of.
