Dillian Whyte has opined that Anthony Joshua's biggest issue is not with his coaching staff but himself.

AJ suffered the second defeat of his professional career as Oleksandr Usyk beat him via unanimous decision to claim the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles.

Joshua is currently touring America, reportedly in search of a new coach. Whyte, who lost to the 32-year-old in 2015, believes that his problem is with himself rather than his coaches.

"The easiest thing to do when you lose is to question the people around you instead of questioning yourself", said The Villian.

“Robert McCracken is a great trainer – look what he’s done for Carl Froch and other people on the GB squad - but when you lose you start looking for excuses, ‘Ah maybe I didn’t sleep enough, maybe it’s my coaches.’

“Joshua’s problem is with himself, it’s not with his coaches – it’s him. He let all these idiots come around him and start telling him, ‘Ah, yeah, do this and be like this'."

Joshua was expected to beat Usyk when the two fought at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last month. However, The Cat outclassed him in every way possible to deservedly win the fight.

Will getting a new coach help Joshua? Maybe, maybe not, but the key thing for him is to work on his game, keep training and put up more of a fight when he faces Usyk again, as a rematch between the two is very much on the cards.

After his defeat, the chances of a fight between Joshua and Fury taking place are lower than ever. However, the odds of one between the Gypsy King and Usyk is high. The Ukrainian has said that he is capable of defeating Fury.
