And they're by no means the only club that have been linked with the 6 foot 4 shot-stopper recently.
West Ham and Tottenham are also keen on snapping up Johnstone in the next transfer window, according to The Sun.
The interest in signing the former Manchester United youngster no doubt relates to his contract situation - Johnstone's deal runs out in the summer.
Accordingly, West Brom will have a tough decision to make if they fail to agree new terms with Johnstone by January and a decent offer subsequently arrives.

What has Luke Hatfield said about West Brom cashing in on Sam Johnstone?
Express and Star journalist Hatfield has suggested the Baggies may consider selling Johnstone if the price is right, should his contract saga find no conclusion by the start of the next transfer window.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, he said: "If in January an offer does come in, it's one where if he doesn't sign a new deal he ends up going for free in the summer. Do you take that offer? If you're Albion maybe you do consider it because you can use the funds elsewhere."
What was Sam Johnstone's record in the Premier League last season?
With three Premier League clubs all interested in Johnstone, it's worth taking a look at how he performed last time out in the top flight.
The 28-year-old actually conceded the most goals of any Premier League goalkeeper in 2020/21, although that isn't particularly surprising considering the Baggies were relegated to the Championship.
And he also showed his quality by making the most saves of any goalie in the division with a whopping 161. That averages out at around 2.2 saves per goal, and gives him a save rate of 70% from 228 shots faced.
He also saved two penalties - the joint-highest rate in the Premier League - although his passing accuracy was a pretty shocking 43%.
How much is Sam Johnstone worth?
Transfermarkt rate Johnstone at £7.2m, however West Brom's valuation back in the summer reportedly stood at a whopping £20m.
It seems unlikely they'd get anywhere near that kind of money for Johnstone in January, with clubs able to sign him for free just six months later.
Bearing that in mind, any figure in between those two valuations might be enough to tempt the Midlands club into cashing in.
