Sir Alex Ferguson’s reaction to Mo Salah making it Man Utd 0-5 Liverpool

Sir Alex Ferguson’s reaction to Manchester United going 5-0 down against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon was broadcast on live TV.

The legendary former United boss, who left Old Trafford in 2013 after winning a 13th Premier League title with the Red Devils, was seen puffing his cheeks and shaking his head as Mohamed Salah completed his hat-trick.

United’s nightmare afternoon started in the fifth minute when Naby Keita opened the scoring following some calamitous defending from the home team.

Diogo Jota then doubled Liverpool’s advantage after a dreadful mix-up between Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.

Salah scored two more goals before half-time as Jurgen Klopp’s side went into the break 4-0 up.

The under-fire Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, whose position will surely be under threat following this shock result, sent on Paul Pogba in place of Mason Greenwood at the start of the second half.

But Salah made it 5-0 to Liverpool, completing his hat-trick in the process, just five minutes after the restart.

The TV cameras picked out a seething Ferguson, whose reaction compared to Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish could not have been more different.
