Michael Bridge says Tottenham are going to have to eventually come to a decision over Jack Clarke's future in north London.

The 20-year-old was signed by Mauricio Pochettino for £10m from Leeds back in 2019 but hasn't yet made a single Premier League appearance for Spurs and has never been on the bench in a league game.

How has Clarke done at Tottenham?

Clarke's spell at Spurs has been nothing less than bizarre. He was signed by Pochettino, who left less than four months later, although the Argentine had already loaned him back to Leeds for the season.

He has since had loan spells at QPR and Stoke, but the attacker wasn't able to get the necessary minutes to continue his development.

At Tottenham, though, Clarke's opportunities have been even less, with four substitute outings in almost two-and-a-half years.

Three of those came under Jose Mourinho, but Clarke has never been considered in the league and his only minutes this season came against Pacos de Ferreira in the Conference League play-off.

Clarke's only other first-team involvement came in the recent European game with Vitesse, but he remained an unused substitute despite Spurs losing 1-0 in Holland.

He was clearly frustrated with Nuno Espirito Santo's decision to keep him on the bench and took to Instagram to express his frustrations.

With just 96 minutes in a Tottenham shirt to his name, Bridge reckons that it might be time for him to move on.

What did Bridge say?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "Even Leeds fans found it odd and then when he was loaned back Leeds fans were saying to me, they didn't want him back.

"He didn't get back into their team, so that was a season wasted for him. He's had a lot of problems.

"He looks skinny to me, he hasn't really bulked, he's playing in the Under-23s, he's never on the bench for the first-team.

"There becomes a time when they have to say, well have to sell him, he's not going to make it at Spurs."

Should Clarke be moved on?

Tottenham have dropped into the third-tier of European football this season, and Clarke still isn't being played, which should all but mark the end of his disastrous time in N17.

Pochettino's early sacking obviously didn't help his case to crack the first-team, but for whatever reason the youngster hasn't shown nearly enough in training or in his few outings to convince either Mourinho or Santo that he should be playing more often.

With that in mind, parting ways in January or the summer would be the best decision for both parties.
