This is likely to be Steven Gerrard's final season in charge of Rangers, according to journalist Stuart Hodge.
What's the latest news involving Gerrard?
Gerrard moved into management following a hugely successful playing career which saw him make 749 senior club appearances, finding the back of the net 191 times in the process.
Gerrard has taken that hunt for silverware into the dugout and guided Rangers to the Scottish Premiership title last season.
As a result, the Gers ended arch-rivals Celtic's dreams of winning a 10th consecutive crown and got their hands on the trophy for the first time since 2011.
Gerrard's impressive record at Ibrox has led to interest from elsewhere and the former central midfielder is among those being linked with the Newcastle United job if the Tyneside club's new owners opt to sack Steve Bruce.
What has Stuart Hodge said about Gerrard?
Hodge believes Gerrard's days at Ibrox are numbered, with his tenure almost certain to come to a close at the end of the campaign.
Gerrard went into today's Scottish Premiership clash with St Mirren having made an impressive start to his managerial career, chalking up 138 wins in 218 matches and tasting defeat on just 36 occasions.

But Hodge reckons there is just one scenario which could result in Gerrard opting to remain at the Glasgow club beyond the season's climax.
The journalist told GIVEMESPORT: "I think this will be his last season at Rangers.
"The only way I think it might not be is if they didn't win the title. If that were the case, it could be a case of where he wants to win it back."
How have Gerrard's Rangers performed this season?
Rangers' campaign got off to a disappointing start as they failed to make it through the Champions League qualifying rounds thanks to being knocked out by Swedish outfit Malmo.
It resulted in Gerrard's side being made to settle for a place in the Europa League, but consecutive defeats saw them make a poor start in that competition as well.
However, they have made a promising start to their Scottish Premiership title defence and went into today's meeting with St Mirren having tasted defeat on just one occasion.News Now - Sport News
