Liverpool’s Andy Robertson urged his teammates to ‘be ruthless’ as they scored their fifth goal against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Scottish left-back, who played the full 90 minutes as the Reds sealed one of their most famous victories of the Premier League era, issued the instruction as his teammates celebrated Mohamed Salah’s hat-trick goal early in the second half.
Salah made it 5-0 to the visitors with a fine finish past David de Gea. The Egyptian, who has been the Premier League’s standout performer during the opening weeks of the campaign, netted a first-half brace to give Jurgen Klopp’s side a shock 4-0 lead at the interval.
Naby Keita and Diogo Jota also got themselves on the scoresheet during the opening 13 minutes to stun the home crowd.
Salah’s third goal was the straw that broke the camel’s back for many furious United fans, who began to leave Old Trafford in their droves.

Liverpool fans adore Andy Robertson
Robertson, who joined the Merseyside outfit from Hull City in a deal worth £8 million in the summer of 2017, is a firm fan favourite at Anfield.
As well as being a world-class full-back, the Scot has also endeared himself to fans over recent years thanks to his 's**thousery'.
Last week, we saw him go face-to-face with Antoine Griezmann after the Atletico Madrid forward was shown a red card before receiving a hefty barge from Jose Gimenez.
Robertson was also first on the scene when Cristiano Ronaldo was involved in an altercation with Curtis Jones during towards the end of Sunday’s first half.
Liverpool fans wouldn’t swap the man they refer to as ‘Robbo’ for any other left-back.News Now - Sport News
