Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher were fierce rivals during their playing days. Despite the fact that they are now colleagues as pundits for Sky Sports, the competitive edge between the pair still clearly exists.
The duo's verbal sparring on Sky's Monday Night Football show has proved a hit with fans in recent years. While breaking down all the key talking points from the weekend's Premier League action, Neville and Carragher frequently clash over their differing points of view - and their exchanges often make for fantastic television.
Although neither man likes to lose out to the other in any form of debate, the biggest bragging rights of the season are on the line whenever Neville's beloved Manchester United take on Carragher's former side Liverpool.
Both Neville and Carragher were in the Sky Sports studio last Monday to provide analysis for the Premier League encounter between Arsenal and Crystal Palace. With the first meeting of the season between United and Liverpool taking place this weekend, it was inevitable that the pair would discuss the match.

Obviously, in that situation, you aren't going to publicly back against your side. However, Neville probably now wishes he hadn't been quite so positive about the Red Devils' chances against Jurgen Klopp's men.
"You know that Manchester United are going to beat Liverpool on Sunday. That's a fact - and he [Carragher] knows it by the way," Neville told the viewing audience.
Yep. Neville's had a shocker here.
As we now know, the outcome couldn't have been any less positive for Ole Gunnar Solksjaer's men. Falling to a 5-0 defeat at Old Trafford, the loss was one of the most humiliating in United's history.
After the match, Carragher seemingly couldn't wait to remind Neville of his pre-match words, sharing a clip of them with his 1.7 million Twitter followers, together with emojis mocking how badly Neville's opinion had aged.

Truthfully, few would have shared Neville's confidence prior to kick-off on Sunday afternoon. Liverpool arrived in Manchester having not lost all season, whereas United's domestic form had been an issue for some time.
The game was effectively over by the break, with a Mo Salah brace and goals from Naby Keita and Diogo Jota giving the Reds a 4-0 half-time lead.
Salah completed his hat-trick five minutes into the second period to round off the scoring, although it is could easily have been more if not for the efforts of United goalkeeper David de Gea.

Liverpool proved themselves to be several levels above United on Sunday - and it doesn't get much easier from here for Solskjaer's struggling side.
They visit Tottenham on Saturday evening in search of their first Premier League win in five attempts. On the evidence on recent performances, even the ever-optimistic Neville might hesitate before predicting a United victory in North London.
