Football Manager 2022 Free Agents

Here are the top 10 free agents that you can sign on FM22:

10. Daniel Alves

Daniel Alves

This man needs no introduction and would be further down the list. But at the age of 38, the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain is coming to the end of his career and you could probably get a season or two out of him before he calls time.

9. Jack Wilshere

Jack Wilshere

Despite his injury problems, the former Arsenal starlet now does not have a club to call home. Wilshere could be a perfect asset for any Championship club looking to get into the Premier League.

8. Miguel Angel Moya

The 37-year-old goalkeeper, like Alves, could be ideal to have in your team for a year or two and has played his entire career in Spain up to now. With impressive distribution and throwing, Moya could be essential in your dressing room.

7. Jozo Simunovic

Jozo Simunovic

Celtic fans may remember Simunovic from back in his Parkhead days and now finds himself without a club in FM22. The 27-year-old is a competent defender who has low wage demands and could be useful as far as old fashioned defending is concerned.

6. Sebastien Cristoforo

This may not be a name you've heard before but has plenty of football in the top-flight across Italy and Spain over the past few years. While his attributes are not the best in the world, the 27-year-old central midfielder could be an ideal squad player that could be utilised with appropriate rotation.

5. Sidnei

While he may be 31 years old, this centre-back is ideal if your team's philosophy is playing out from the back, plus is extremely composed. Sidnei is strong in the air and has fairly balanced attributes across the board.

4. Mateo Musacchio

Mateo Musacchio

This may be a surprise to some on this list having played in Serie A for the past five seasons. But now finds himself without a club having been released by Lazio. Now at the age of 30, the centre-back has solid work rate, teamwork and mental attributes that could be beneficial for your squad.

3. Angel Romero

This Paraguayan international has a vast array of experience having played his football right across South America. A jack of all trades but a master in none. But make no mistake, Romero can play on either wing and as a striker and will score you goals.

2. Joris Gnagnon

Joris Gnagon

It may be harsh that this player just misses out on this number one spot, but the former Stade Rennes and Sevilla centre-back is a bargain. The 24-year-old has a long career ahead of him and has fantastic aerial ability and aggression. A hugely useful asset.

1. Paulinho

Paulinho of Brazil

By far the best player on this list and with a massively impressive CV. In our save, he moved to Manchester City and there is good reason for that - his wage demands. Stiff negotiations can mean it will be tricky to sign him but he's definitely worth it.
