Floyd doesn't want to take a photo with me 'cause my nails are painted. Bruh, really? I didn't mean to rush him like that."As the footage reached the internet, it went viral in no time, as many fans and supporters deemed it as a 'homophobic' act.Following the backlash, a representative of Mayweather said that he was unable to take the picture as he was in a hurry to leave the stadium.

Following this, Mayweather faced a huge backlash from the combat sporting community, which led to him being forced to apologize for his actions.

In his apology, he said that he had "nothing against gays or lesbians at all".
