The plans that WWE, as of right now, has for a big pay-per-view event in the UK in 2022 have been leaked, including a potential theme for the show.

WWE is going to be putting on a big pay-per-view in the UK next year, at least according to reports, and we have a much better idea of what the show is going to entail.

WWE released its full pay-per-view schedule for 2022 yesterday, with various reports suggesting that the unnamed pay-per-view set for either September 3 or 4th is going to be held in the UK.

The show is going to celebrate 30 years since the economic SummerSlam 1992 show, which begs the question why WWE isn't just putting on SummerSlam in the UK next year.

Dave Meltzer has provided some additional information on the matter, explaining that the show will take place at either the Principality (formerly Millenium) stadium or Wembley.

Things are not definite right now, but that's the working plan as of right now, at least according got Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio:

“The plan is to run it – I mean this is not a definite – but I know that they were talking to Millenium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, and Wembley in London to run in one of those two buildings, and the idea of this was always the 30th anniversary of SummerSlam, so I don’t know why they’re not running SummerSlam there, they’re running the September pay-per-view there over Labor Day weekend.”

This will be the first WWE pay-per-view in the UK since 2003, and is something that former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has been campaigning heavily for since the relaxation of COVID-19 rules.
