Antonio Conte is being heavily linked with the Manchester United manager role.

Speculation over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's future intensified on the weekend after United were destroyed 5-0 at home to Liverpool.

Conte is one of the world's best managers and is currently a free agent having left Inter Milan in the summer.

It is believed that United have interest and he's the favourite to be given the job if the Manchester club do decide to depart ways with the Norwegian manager.

The speculation has reminded us of the time Conte was given a United shirt while he was manager at Chelsea.

On February 15, 2018, Conte was speaking at a press conference ahead of Chelsea's FA Cup clash with Hull City.

Stefano Corti, an Italian prankster posing as a journalist, interrupted the presser as he presented Conte with a United shirt.

The shirt had Conte's name on the back and was signed by United's manager at the time, Jose Mourinho.

Just weeks before, Corti tricked an unknowing Mourinho to sign the shirt.

The prankster caught the moment on video and then showed Conte the footage.

He proceeded to gift Conte the shirt, saying, per ESPN: "This is present for you. It is signed by Jose Mourinho…'To my friend Antonio', long live friendship…shall I leave it to you?"

Conte did not look very impressed. After a few seconds just staring at the shirt, he replied: “No, you can take it with you. Keep it, you will give it to me later”.

Conte, unsurprisingly, had no interest in taking the shirt as he left it there at the end of the press conference.

Nearly four years on and Conte could soon be presented with a United shirt - this time by the owners of the club.
