UFC 271 Date

UFC President Dana White recently confirmed that the fight card will be taking place on Saturday February 12th 2022.

The date was noted to Aaron Bronsteter during a conversation with the public face of the company in October 2021.

Bronsteter confirmed the news on Twitter, writing: "Just spoke to Dana White who tells me that UFC 271, expected to be headlined by Israel Adesanya vs. Robert Whitaker, is being targeted for either Seattle or a major Canadian city on February 12, 2022.

"Clarification: An error was made when Dana relayed this to me in our interview. Seattle and Canada are being looked at for an event in 2022, but not UFC 271."

The expectation following the fight is that Adesanya will be having to wait some time for a suitable contender to give him a true threat for the Middleweight Championship.

Following the UFC Fight Night event between Paulo Costa vs. Marvin Vettori, Adesanya would take to YouTube to give his thoughts on the layout of the Middleweight division, considering Costa and Vettori are considered two of the top contenders currently in the division.

“Whoa, he shot for a f*cking double leg!” Adesanya said during the video he released watching the fight. “Top game, okay, let’s see. This is interesting. He’s gonna get swept. A guillotine. (unintelligible) Aw, what the f*ck was that? ... Literally just a s*it show. That was horrible.”
