In January, Salah described Tsimikas as being one of his best friends at the club. The Greek also spoke of their close friendship that month.
"I didn't know him before but from the first minute we are very close," Tsimikas told Liverpoolfc.com.
"He helped me a lot around the team. He's one of my best mates here in the club. Not just as a player, he's a very good guy also.
"We spend a lot of time here in the training ground and he's very friendly with me. I'm very happy to be close to him."
Their bromance was in full flow during Liverpool's 5-0 demolition of Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
Tsimikas was warming up on the touchline when Salah notched his first goal of the game in the first half.
Footage has emerged showing him celebrating enthusiastically when his friend hit the back of the net and made it 3-0.
Salah went on to score twice more to complete his hat-trick.
The Egyptian was handed the match ball by Liverpool's goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, after the game.
But he didn't have it for long as Tsimikas ran in and jokingly stole it. Both men saw the funny side and the left-back quickly turned around and handed the ball back to his good friend.
Tsimikas then took to Instagram to joke about the hat-trick, saying: "After our 100 goals, one more hat trick ball for our museum."
It's well known that Dejan Lovren was Salah's best friend while the Croatian was at the club.
