Journalist Luke Hatfield was impressed by the partnership that Robert Snodgrass and Jayson Molumby struck up in the heart of West Brom's midfield last Saturday.
The duo both started at the Hawthorns as the Baggies aimed to bounce back from their midweek defeat to Swansea, and they managed just that, easing past Bristol City 3-0.
What's been happening with Snodgrass and Molumby this season?
Snodgrass has been battling fitness issues this term, failing to make the squad for six of West Brom's 14 Championship fixtures to date. Prior to Saturday, the 6 foot midfielder had not started a league game for the side in 2021/22.
Meanwhile, Molumby has also had to wait patiently for his opportunity after completing his loan move from Brighton in August. The 22-year-old has often been overlooked by manager Valerien Ismael, and was making just his second start for the team on the weekend.
Despite their lack of game time in recent months, both men looked right at home against City, registering five shots between them, as West Brom produced a dominant performance in front of their home fans.
What did Hatfield say about Snodgrass and Molumby?
Snodgrass has struggled to show what he can do since joining West Brom in January, with his body constantly letting him down.
However, the 28-cap international grabbed his chance on Saturday, and Hatfield liked what he saw from the 34-year-old next to Molumby.
He told GIVEMESPORT: “I’ve been dying to see Robert Snodgrass play for some serious minutes, and it looked like he did a really good job alongside Jayson Molumby. They seemed to really work together well.”

Will Snodgrass and Molumby play together against Fulham?
This promises to be a tough call for Ismael.
Snodgrass and Molumby only seemed to get their opportunity to play Alex Mowatt being injured and Jake Livermore serving a suspension. Therefore, if either of those two are ready to return for West Brom's trip to Fulham this weekend, it seems likely that they will come back into the starting XI.
However, the performances of Snodgrass and Molumby will have given Ismael food for thought. He now knows that they are capable of stepping up to the plate, and that means that Mowatt and Livermore shouldn't be rushed back, even for this mouthwatering clash between two promotion-chasing teams.
If they aren't fully fit, Ismael should have no hesitation in giving his new-found pairing of Snodgrass and Molumby another chance in west London on Saturday.
