Bordeaux president Jean Luis Triaud says he wants to re-sign striker Marouane Chamakh from Arsenal.
The Moroccan completed his move from the Ligue 1 side to north London in the summer of 2010.
However, after a decent start, he's found first-team opportunities as well as form hard to come by, with Arsenal skipper Robin Van Persie quickly having become the main man at the Emirates Stadium.
"I have left four or five messages on Chamakh’s number in the last two months," Triaud said.
‘I’ve also left messages on Wenger’s mobile, but I have had no response."
Despite his infrequent appearances for Arsenal, not helped by the summer signing of Park Chu-Young, Triaud is yet to be convinced he can sign the Arsenal man.
"I wanted to know the position of Marouane. If he is happy at Arsenal, and if he would be interested in a return to Bordeaux," he added.
"From what I heard in the press, he said could return to France. If that was his choice, I wanted to tell him that there was no problem and that we could talk about it.
"But his silence proves beyond doubt that he still hopes to succeed at Arsenal."News Now - Sport News
