The next edition of Grand Theft Auto has seemed to be in the works ever since they released the fifth version way back in 2013, and fans of the award-winning title are desperate for GTA VI to hit the shelves sooner rather than later.
Speculation and rumours have always run rife, but very little has been confirmed about the highly anticipated game.
Now, in what seems like a bolt from the blue, some exciting news has emerged and perhaps one of the most random sources may hold one of the most credible pieces of information about GTA VI.
During the ‘Rolling Stone Music Now’ podcast, as per GamingBIBLE, acclaimed rapper and part-time gamer Snoop Dogg let loose some interesting information that gave listeners a hint of what music would appear on the next game's soundtrack.
While he himself isn’t confirmed to have any involvement, he revealed that close friend and successful partner Dr. Dre is making ‘great f****** music’ that’s related to the ‘GTA game that’s coming out.’
I do know [Dr. Dre] is in the studio... I do know he's making great f****** music. And some of his music is connected to the GTA game that's coming out. So I think that that will be the way that his music will be released, through the GTA video game.
While this could be related to Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy, a remaster of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, its release date of December 2021 seems quite soon for music to be still being created for the game.
This is also joined by the fact that these games had their own treasured soundtracks which fans are hoping to see return to the games.
Dr. Dre is no stranger to the GTA universe either. His song Still Dre is featured on the in-game radio in GTA V and he makes a guest appearance as himself in the games Cayo Perico DLC.
Acknowledging this, there is no doubt that the famous NWA co-founder already has ties with Rockstar’s best-selling series.
Only time will tell if this snippet remains true, as it seems that GTA VI, before it has even been released, has become renowned for its varied speculation and elaborate rumours and any form of news appears to be like a game of Chinese whispers.
Despite this, there has been much conjecture to an announcement surrounding GTA VI being made in November of this year and Snoop Dogg’s interview may have been our first peek into the release of GTA VI, a game that much like its predecessor, will capture audiences and break records after the endless anticipation for its release.News Now - Sport News
