FIFA 22 Ultimate Team: Angry Players Note That Libertadores Cards Don’t Register as Rares in SBCs

Fans have reacted to news that Libertadores rares don't count in FIFA SBCs

Several players have confirmed that Libertadores players do not count as rares when using them as part of FIFA 22 Squad Building Challenges.

A number of players have used Libertadores players as the rare player in squads in the past, as not a huge amount of gamers use Libertadores as a base for their squads.

Although players were able to use Libertadores for this function in FIFA 21, it appears as though either a bug or deliberate choice from EA has caused a huge change for Ultimate Team players in the latest title.

A player on the r/FIFA subreddit confirmed the issue, claiming that this was ‘fraudulent’ from EA as the players are listed as rares when they’re revealed in pack openings.

They said: “IMO, this is fraudulent from EA because it renders the cards useless and takes away a rare spot in the pack. They need to fix this immediately as they counted as rares last year.”

Fans React To Libertadores Card Issues in SBCs

Other users on the subreddit would also confirm that they have had issues when trying to use Libertadores cards as rares in squad building challenges.

One would write: “Literally built my whole squad on the LMW SBC today with lib/sud split and had 3/4...was very confused so you're definitely right.”

Another player would note that this may have been a recent change by EA, indicating that it may be a bug of some sort rather than a deliberate change by the developers.

“Pretty sure they counted as rares this Fifa. I’ve thrown them into multiple SBC’s, that’s shady if they changed it.”

EA has not commented on the Libertadores card changes for SBCs and whether this is something that they implemented as a deliberate measure.

We’ve reached out to EA and as of writing have not had a response on the issue, we will update this page as and when the company confirms the latest on the SBC situation.
