Arsenal are reportedly monitoring Birmingham teenager Jack Butland.
The 18-year-old goalkeeper is currently on loan with Npower League Two outfit Cheltenham and has kept four clean sheets in eight appearances.
According to the Daily Express, Arsene Wenger has sent his chief Arsenal scout Steve Rowley to run the rule over Butland during England under-21's defeats of Iceland and Belgium.
Also in attendance was Arsenal goalkeeping coach Gerry Peyton and the Gunners, it is claimed, are ready to test Birmingham's resolve.
Meanwhile, Maroaune Chamakh could leave the Emirates Stadium in January after Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud said he is attempting to resign the Moroccan.
Chamakh joined Arsenal from the Ligue 1 outfit in the summer of 2010, having seen out his contract at the Stade Chaban Delmas.
However, the 27-year-old has failed to live up to expectation in north London and has been tipped to leave the club during the next transfer window.News Now - Sport News
