Emma Raducanu has rediscovered her winning formula after progressing into the quarter-finals of the Transylvania Open.
The British number one had suffered a shock defeat in her first appearance since winning the US Open – tumbling out of the Indian Wells Masters at the hands of world number 86 Aliaksandra Sasnovich.
But now she is back on form, in her father's native country no less, as she competes for the title in Romania.
Raducanu put in a shift on the court to defeat her first opponent Polona Hercog 4-6, 7-5, 6-1 before eliminating Ana Bogdan on her home turf in straight sets.
This evening, the 18-year-old will revisit an old rivalry as fellow teen Marta Kostyuk awaits in the quarter-finals.
The Ukrainian may be 32 places below Raducanu in the world rankings, but it will be no easy feat in Cluj-Napoca.
Raducanu has faced off against Kostyuk before and is well aware of her capability on the court.
"Marta is a great opponent, she absolutely destroyed me in the juniors every single time, so it will be an interesting match, I’m looking forward to it," she said.
The world number 23 also admitted she 'caught her opponent up' this year, as the 19-year-old was already playing full-time and competing in major tournaments.
Indeed, Kostyuk made her Grand Slam debut at the 2018 Australian Open, reaching the fourth round of the tournament. She has since played in the 2020 US Open and the French Open earlier this year, where she also reached the fourth round.
While the Ukrainian may not have a Grand Slam title under her belt, she trumps Raducanu when it comes to experience.
Much like the all-teenage US Open final between Raducanu and Leylah Fernandez, this will certainly be a hotly contested match to keep an eye on.
Kostyuk started her run in Cluj-Napoca with a 6-3, 6-4 win over USA’s Bernarda Pera, before going on to beat Mona Barthel of Germany 6-4, 6-4 in the previous round.
The pair will face each other this evening at the Winner Sports Club at 17.15 BST as they vie for a spot in the Transylvanian Open semi-finals.
