In a recent post on social media, Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (56-1-2, 38 KOs) appears to be in phenomenal shape ahead of his bout with Caleb Plant (21-0, 12 KOs) on November 6 for the unified super middleweight championship.

Despite starting his career at welterweight, the Mexican superstar has consistently packed on the muscle and climbed up the weight categories. If he beats Plant, he will become the only unified super middleweight champion in history and add the prestigious IBF belt to his collection.

Even though Alvarez looks incredible, this is nothing out of the ordinary for him. The pound for pound king is an esteemed professional who trains regularly and does not fall out of shape in between fights.

You only need to look at his last three fights at super middleweight to realise he is big for the weight and uncoincidentally won a world title at light heavyweight against Sergey Kovalev (34-4-1, 29 KOs).

As for the fight against Plant, Canelo’s physique suggests he is going to be the stronger man in there. Plant is by no means weak or small, especially as he's spent his entire career at super middleweight and hasn't had to gain weight over the years.

However, the Mexican icon is on another level in this regard and seems to carry dynamite in his hands.

Physiques aside, we can expect to see a very competitive fight on November 6 between two world-class boxers.

Canelo with his power, granite chin and impeccable timing against the sleek, masterful boxer that is Caleb Plant.

Much of the boxing public are touting this fight as the second coming of Floyd Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs) vs Alvarez, which took place back in 2013.

A young Canelo was comprehensively outboxed and many believe Caleb can do the same to him.

Still, this was over seven years ago and the Mexican champion has improved a lot since then. The head movement and ring IQ that Canelo possesses should not be underestimated.

Even if you can outbox him for short periods like Billy Joe Saunders (30-1,14 KOs), he might just find a way to knock you out and it will be devastating.
