Aaron Ramsdale's individual highlights in Arsenal's 2-0 win vs Leicester are out of this world

Aaron Ramsdale was the star of the show as Arsenal secured an important 2-0 win against Leicester City on Saturday.

The Gunners' goalkeeper made eight saves, including an incredible stop from a James Maddison free-kick, as Mikel Arteta's side stretched their unbeaten run to nine matches.

It wasn't just his saves that made Ramsdale's performances hugely entertaining at the King Power Stadium.

His distribution was excellent, and he even found time during the match to wind up the home crowd.

England's No.1?

Not every Arsenal fan was pleased when the club splashed out an initial £24 million to sign Ramsdale from Sheffield United in the summer, but he's silenced the doubters by usurping Bernd Leno in the pecking order and producing some impressive displays.

"I'm really happy with his performances and what he's bringing to the team and it's another reason why the team has made it difficult to concede goals," Arteta said after Ramsdale became the No.1.

It's reaching the point where Ramsdale is giving Gareth Southgate a real selection headache.

Who was the most expensive Arsenal signing of 2021?

The England manager won't have missed Ramsdale's performance against Leicester, which might have convinced him that the 23-year-old is currently outperforming Jordan Pickford.

His save from Maddison was world-class. "Best save I've seen for years by Ramsdale," tweeted Manchester United icon Peter Schmeichel.

After clawing away Maddison's effort, Ramsdale reacted quickly to get in the way of Jonny Evans' rebound.

Ramsdale's incredible highlights

Leicester were pushing to get themselves back into the game in the second half after falling 2-0 down, but there was just no way past the Arsenal 'keeper.

He produced another smart save to deny Ademola Lookman and Harvey Barnes was also left frustrated.

Ramsdale's individual highlights have now emerged and they're outstanding, showing why there was only going to be one winner of the Man of the Match award.
