Guti's incredible assist for Benzema
Guti's teammates will also remember his talents. Indeed, Karim Benzema will probably never forget Guti's assist for him against Deportivo in 2010.
Manuel Pellegrini's side were playing away at the Riazor when Kaka found Guti on the edge of the box.
One-on-one with Deportivo's goalkeeper, it seemed for all the world that the midfielder was going to shoot. Just 12 yards out, it certainly looked like the best option.
The goalkeeper expected a shot was coming and fell to the ground. But to the surprise of everyone, Guti backheeled the ball for the onrushing Benzema.
The French striker was probably surprised to receive the ball, but he did the rest after being left with an easy finish.
The following morning, Marca featured Guti's assist on their front cover and called it 'The heel of God'.
And, while Twitter wasn't as big 11 years ago as it is today, fans still rushed to express their disbelief.
Guti was responsible for many moments of magic, and plenty of Madrid fans believe his assist for Zinedine Zidane against Sevilla in 2006 ranks ahead of the Benzema one.
