Marcus Rashford will enjoy his 24th birthday on Sunday (October 31st) after scoring in Manchester United's win against Tottenham Hotspur.

Rashford helped relieve some of the pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a late goal in United's 3-0 victory.

It's incredible to think that it's nearly six years since an 18-year-old Rashford burst onto the scene with a brace that helped United defeat FC Midtjylland in the Europa League.

Since that famous Old Trafford night, the boy from Wythenshawe has gone on to prove himself to be more than just a footballer.

He has used his platform to drive societal change, including campaigning against racism, homelessness and child hunger in the United Kingdom.

It's been really incredible to see.

Alex Ferguson praised Rashford

"Apart from his football life, what he has achieved in the last few months is quite astonishing, how he has helped the people in need is a truly amazing achievement," Sir Alex Ferguson said earlier in 2021.

"I would like to congratulate him on that. He has shown to young people in particular there is a different way of dealing with life."

Rashford has also received praise for his activism from former President of the United States Barack Obama.

To convince the government to provide free school meals for 1.3 million children and launch a book club to help vulnerable and underprivileged kids read more, all while playing football at an exceptional standard, says so much about the England international.

Rashford's skill on Fred

His abilities on the pitch have been obvious since his climb through the youth system at United.

We can only imagine the sorts of skills Rashford was pulling off against youth team defenders, considering he was able to make Fred look silly a couple of years ago.

The attacker sent Fred back to Ukraine with a sublime nutmeg as Man United's players warmed up ahead of a 3-1 win against Arsenal in January 2019.

The reaction from Rashford's teammates shows you how filthy it was. Just look at Anthony Martial!

We're willing to bet Fred now stays away from Rashford during warm-ups.
