Journalist Luke Hatfield believes Premier League clubs may be starting to pay attention to West Brom wing-back Darnell Furlong.
The 25-year-old joined the Baggies in 2019, but Hatfield has suggested that he may be in line for a top-flight move in the not-too-distant future.
How has Furlong fared at West Brom?
The defender has previous Premier League experience, having featured regularly for West Brom in England's top division last season, while he also played three times for QPR in 2015.
Despite the Midlands club having a difficult campaign in 2020/21, which ultimately ended in relegation, Furlong was one of their better performers.
He played 35 Premier League matches under Slaven Bilic and Sam Allardyce, registering one goal and four assists.
Furlong has continued to shine this term in the Championship, establishing himself as West Brom's right wing-back in Valerien Ismael's 3-4-3 formation. He recently got two assists for the side in a 3-0 win over Bristol City.
What has Hatfield said about Furlong?
Hatfield has admitted that Furlong, who Transfermarkt value at £4.5m, does still have some defensive issues that need ironing out, but his attacking play could tempt Premier League outfits to make a bid for him soon.
When asked whether top-flight teams might make a move for Furling, Hatfield told GIVEMESPORT: “Premier League clubs, will they maybe be considering him? Maybe they’ll be looking at him. There are defensive issues to think about. If you’re playing him in a four, defensively he maybe let’s a little bit too much go.
“But if you’re thinking of an attacking full-back or a wing-back, then he suits that role down to the ground.”

Is Furlong good enough to be a Premier League player?
In his first full season in the Premier League, Furlong held his own against some of the best attackers in the country, and he seems to be getting even better this season back in the second tier.
The standard of right-backs in the top-flight is very high at the moment, with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Reece James and Kyle Walker flourishing.
However, there could be a spot for Furlong at a side further down the table. He has been involved in some of West Brom's best attacking play this season, and his ability to cause problems in the final third may have caught the eye of some lower-half sides.
Furthermore, at 25, he still has plenty of time to develop his game, meaning that he could be a good addition to a Premier League squad either in January or next summer if West Brom fail to gain promotion.
