The boxing world was stunned as 'The Gypsy King' capped off an incredible trilogy with Deontay Wilder, one of the best trios of fights of all time, to reclaim his status as the top man in his division.
While Fury sits at the top of the pile as far as heavyweights are concerned, 'The Body Snatcher' is looking to inherit the crown after fighting his way to the top of the WBC rankings and the next in line for the world title shot.
Whyte has beaten the likes of Dereck Chisora twice, Mariusz Wach and Alexander Povetkin to get in this position, all of which are well-respected opponents.
As a result, fight fans are eager to know when Fury will face off against Whyte in what would only be his second title defence.
Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte Date
At the time of writing, there has yet to be any form of confirmation in relation to when Fury will take on Whyte for the WBC and The Ring titles.
Previous reports have suggested that Fury could be in line for a UK homecoming and has not fought in his homeland since he fought Francesco Pianeta in Belfast in 2018 - all his fights since have been in the United States.
It will be interesting to see if these two men can be matched in a bout that has been long in the waiting for Whyte, and is deserving of a title shot for sure.
Fear not though, fight fans! We will update this article as soon as new details emerge in the coming days, weeks and months - stay tuned and keep your eyes peeled!
