Jaron Ennis wants huge fights with the likes of Errol Spence Jr after icing Thomas Dulorme in one

Jaron Ennis names five boxers he wants to fight after icing Thomas Dulorme in one

Jaron Ennis says he is seeking big fights against the likes of Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr after destroying Thomas Dulorme at Las Vegas' Virgin Hotels.

Ennis, who has won all 28 of his fights, including 26 knockouts, is targeting huge nights against Crawford, Spence Jr and co. after he proved his world-class abilities in his bout against Dulorme in October where he took the Puerto Rican apart in one round.

In his first fight since beating Sergey Lipinets in April, the silky American - who secured silver and gold in the 2014 and 2015 Golden Gloves respectively - floored Puerto Rico's Dulorme with a devastating overhand right in the first round to triumph.

The young Philly native, who received a message of congratulations from NBA All-Star Magic Johnson, said after his win: “We got it early, that’s okay by me.

"We don’t get paid for overtime. I knew it was over after that first knockdown. I just had to take my time and not rush anything. Everything I did today we worked on in the gym."

He continued: “I’ve been ready for a world title two years ago.

"I want the top guys: Errol Spence Jr, Yordenis Ugas, Shawn Porter, Terence Crawford, Keith Thurman. I’m ranked No. 3 in the IBF, so Errol Spence Jr is who I want next.

“Whatever belt I’m ranked the highest in. I think that’s the IBF so that’s where we going. That’s Spence and he got the WBC and IBF, if I get that, that’ll be perfect.

"I’ll take Ugas, if I can’t get Ugas I’ll take the winner of Crawford vs. Porter. If I can’t get that one, give me Keith Thurman.”

Jaron Ennis scored a first-round knockout of Thomas Dulorme

Speaking to BoxingScene, 'Boots' added: “I thank Thomas Dulorme for the opportunity. It was a good knockout, but it’s on to the next. Let’s get those big names.

"They can’t run for too long. It’s either sign up to fight me or get out of the way. I’m ready to take the Ennis legacy to the next level and take over the division."

The unbeaten Ennis, 24, conceded he got caught by Dulorme but he 'was just figuring him out'.

Ennis admitted: "[Dulorme] leaned to the right side every time. We worked on that shot in the back room.

"It was touch, touch and then chop, and that’s what I caught him with. I knew it was over at that point, but I just had to take my time and not rush anything.

“He caught me with a little shot, but I was just figuring him out. Everything I displayed tonight we worked on in the backroom.

"Catching his jab and throwing combinations. Every time he throws, throw right back, and that’s how I ended it.”
