Donald Trump Jr will be sat cageside as Colby Covington challenges for Kamaru Usman's welterweight title at UFC 268 in Las Vegas.

His father and former US President, Donald Trump Sr, is a personal friend of UFC president Dana White and helped support the UFC financially in its early infancy.

However, Trump Sr will NOT be in attendance at the T-Mobile Arena, as he is reportedly holding a rally on the same day as his political comeback steps up a gear.

But Eric Trump, his younger brother, will also be there as well as American Covington, from Florida, bids for revenge.

Covington and Usman are set to face off for the second time in an eagerly-awaited grudge match on November 6 in Las Vegas.

Their first encounter saw the Nigeria-born American beat his bitter rival by technical knockout in the fifth round.

This time however, the former interim UFC welterweight champion, who celebrated his title win with a trip to the White House in 2018, is confident he can cause the upset.

He also revealed he plans to celebrate by speed-dialling The Donald, or so he says, anyway.

Covington told TMZ: "Yes, there will be some members of the Trump family there.

"You know, I was just talking to Donald Trump yesterday. He was at the golf course, giving me his well wishes.

"I know he has a big rally that day so I’m not sure if he’s gonna be able to make it, but I’m sure that I’ll have my average phone call with him after my every fight. So, I’ll be talking to him."

Covington, 33, says he is looking forward to the big occasion.

And he can't wait to hear Donald Jr, 43, and Eric, 37, cheering his name as he tries to do what no man has done before him - defeat Usman inside the octagon.

Usman boasts a near-perfect record of 19 wins and only one defeat in a nine-year professional career while Covington has 16 wins and two defeats to his name.

He added: "It’s amazing having [the Trump family's] support.

"I have this energy that I get from [Donald]. I call it 'dragon energy' and I’m gonna unleash that dragon energy next weekend.

"And, I'm gonna take that UFC undisputed title back, and then I know Donald Trump is gonna take back the White House!"
