After a string of damaging controversies and a modern MMA record consisting of three infamous losses in his last four outings, Conor McGregor has certainly fallen from grace in recent years.

However, if there’s one thing we’ve learned about The Notorious One, it’s never to count this guy out.

After recent footage of McGregor doing some severe damage on the pads was posted on social media, the Irishman's latest Twitter post shows just how in shape he is right now, with a body ripped and ready to rumble.

Not only that, but he accompanied the post with a cryptical teaser suggesting there’s more to come.

McGregor tweeted" “The spirit of a warrior cannot be penetrated! Be the warrior within you!

"We are getting ready for something special! Team McGregor.”

Despite his recent poor form, culminating in a nasty fractured tibia and fibula, which caused his first-round stoppage loss again Dustin Poirier, some have pointed out that the Mystic Mac has only had four MMA bouts in the last five years.

The long gaps between fights have been blamed for his recent losses, with his best results coming in 2015-16, where he won five of six headlining fights, avenging his loss against Nate Diaz and becoming king of the featherweights.

In 2017, McGregor stepped away from MMA, taking on Floyd Mayweather in a much-criticised boxing bout, and has since made many headlines for his poorly thought out tweets and out-of-the-Octagon dramas.
