2016 world champion Nico Rosberg has tipped Lando Norris to become an F1 title winner in the future, with the McLaren man having a really impressive season in 2021.

Norris is one of several bright young drivers on the grid that is being tipped for big things in the coming years.

He joins the likes of Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, George Russell and others as being seen as the future of the sport and, naturally, the expectation alongside that dictates that one day he could become a champion.

That in mind, Rosberg certainly seems convinced that the McLaren driver has the potential to achieve exactly that, with him saying on his YouTube channel:

“I mean he is doing such a phenomenal job, so he shouldn’t really worry. He is going to have a great career, future world champion potential you know, and his win will come."

Norris came close to his first-ever Grand Prix victory at the race in Russia a few weeks ago before a late rain shower scuppered his hopes as he sought to bring things home on slick tyres.

Even so, he's had a fine campaign and Rosberg's prediction is certainly a far from wild one.
