Antonio Conte is the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur.

On Tuesday morning, the north London club officially announced the Italian's arrival and fans are understandably excited.

The former Chelsea boss is a serial winner. Last season at Inter Milan, Conte guided the team to their first Serie A title in 11 years.

Wherever he goes, success usually follows and much of that is down to intense training sessions and brilliant man-management skills.

Conte never settles for anything less than 100% from the players under his command, which is going to be a bit of wakeup call for some of the current members of Spurs' squad.

The 52-year-old also doesn't do everything by the book, as was proven at the tail end of last season after Inter had secured the Scudetto.

Why Manchester United REJECTED Conte & Refused to SACK Ole | Football Terrace

During a match against Roma in May, striker Lautaro Martinez reacted furiously to being substituted and Conte was having absolutely none of it.

Words were exchanged between the pair, but instead of making a big deal out of it following the conclusion of the match, the manager opted to settle the feud in rather humorous circumstances.

A 'boxing match' between Conte and Martinez was staged at Inter's training ground, with Romelu Lukaku taking on the role of Michael Buffer and introducing the fighters.

Champions League 2021/22: Fixtures, Draw, Results, Odds, Scores And Everything You Need To Know

Okay, how long until we see Conte and Harry Kane lacing up their gloves in north London then, eh?

We'd certainly be backing the Italian manager in that one...

One of Conte's first tasks at Spurs will be to get Kane back to something close to his best, as the striker has been in woeful form - by his standards - during 2021/22 thus far.

Kane with Spurs

In nine Premier League appearances, the England captain has scored just one goal, which for him is simply unacceptable.

But if anyone can get Kane back firing in front of goal, it's Conte.

Just ask Lukaku...
