Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira has already won over the club's fans, according to The Sun's Tom Barclay.

Vieira has been in his role for less than four months, but seems to have quickly established himself as a popular figure at Selhurst Park.

What's the latest news involving Vieira?

Prior to taking the Palace job, Vieira has only previously managed New York City FC over in America, and Ligue 1 outfit Nice.

His lack of experience hasn't counted against him so far, though. Playing an attractive brand of football, Palace have been involved in a number of entertaining games this season, although results have not always gone their way.

That is until this weekend, when they stunned Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, beating the Premier League champions 2-0 at the Etihad.

That victory took Palace to 12 points from their opening 10 games, lifting them to 13th place in the table.

What has Barclay said about Vieira?

Barclay has acknowledged that Vieira's record before he arrived at Palace was hardly an eye-catching one, but he feels the Frenchman has swiftly won the south London club's fanbase over.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I think it would be fair to look at his managerial record and not be completely bowled over by it, but Palace fans have really taken to him. They really like his personality.”

How much credit does Vieira deserve for the job he's doing at Palace?

It is hard not to have been impressed by what Vieira has done at Palace so far. Despite comfortably staying in the Premier League for a number of years under Roy Hodgson, the Eagles badly needed a new lease of life this season.

Vieira has given them that, and has molded together a team that is exciting to watch. Then again, prior to this weekend, Palace had only won one of their first nine league matches, so they needed to start getting the results to match their performances.

They did just that on Saturday, as goals from Wilfried Zaha and Conor Gallagher handed Vieira's men all three points.

This was clear confirmation that the side are heading in the right direction, and that they are able to find the right mix between style and substance.

Now they need to start winning games regularly, but there is every reason to believe that they can start doing this with Vieira in the dugout, based on what they showed against City.
