Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge reckons that Tottenham have been better since Dele Alli lost his place in the side.
The midfielder started the first six Premier League games but has made just one appearance in the last four games since being hauled off at half-time against Arsenal.
Are Tottenham better without Alli?
When Alli won his place back following his virtual no-show under Jose Mourinho last season, it all looked rosy when Tottenham won their opening three league matches under Nuno Espirito Santo and topped the table at the end of August.
During that period, Alli produced a battling performance to inspire Spurs to an excellent opening day victory over Manchester City before scoring the winner from the penalty spot at Wolves seven days later.

The 25-year-old would perform decently against Watford as Nuno's team kept up their 100 percent record.
However, following the 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace, Tottenham and Alli's own campaign took a turn for the worse and it hasn't got any better.
But the stats with and without Alli in the side are identical, with three victories from six matches with the England international starting and a 50 percent win-rate without him in the starting XI.
After Alli lost his place, Tottenham took maximum points from their next two games, beating Aston Villa and Newcastle, with Oliver Skipp, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Tanguy Ndombele Nuno's preferred midfield three.
However, two dreadful defeats have followed against West Ham and Manchester United, with Spurs looking desperately short of creativity in those two fixtures.

But Bridge doesn't believe that Tottenham are missing Alli in the side.

He told GIVEMESPORT: "I have to be honest, Dele not being in the XI has helped."
When might Alli next start a Premier League game?
Antonio Conte's arrival could be a step in the right direction for Alli's Tottenham career, but going off the last month alone, he is some way down the pecking order.
If the Italian goes with a back-three, it's difficult to see exactly where Alli fits in, although even if he doesn't change the formation, the likes of Giovani Lo Celso and Ndombele are all likelier to be the more advanced midfielder.
Alli's Tottenham career is not dead and buried just yet - he showed in the first three games there's still life - but this Conte era does feel like a last chance saloon for him.
